Renewed Israeli Offensive in Gaza Leaves Over 400 Dead
Following the resumption of Israel’s offensive in the Gaza Strip, which began early Tuesday after a two-month ceasefire, at least 591 Palestinians have been killed and over 1,042 injured within 72 hours due to intense Israeli airstrikes, according to Hamas. The attacks have been described as a series of “massacres” directly targeting civilian homes without prior warning.
The Gaza government’s statement highlights that more than 70% of the fatalities are children, women, and the elderly, leading authorities to label these attacks as part of a “systematic genocide crime.”
“From early Tuesday until now, the Israeli occupation army has committed dozens of massacres in various areas of the Gaza Strip through violent airstrikes directly targeting civilian homes without warning. This has resulted in the deaths of 591 Palestinians and injuries to 1,042 others who managed to reach hospitals,” the statement reads.
The accusation extends to the international community, particularly the United States, which is accused of complicity due to its military support for Israel and apparent indifference to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the enclave.
On Thursday, the attacks continued, with at least 95 additional deaths reported and over a hundred injured, underscoring the escalation of the conflict and its devastating impact on civilians. Hamas has openly blamed the United States for the “ongoing killings” and “ethnic cleansing” it claims is being carried out against the Palestinian people.
