The president will go where the people say, no matter my life, said the Colombian politician. “They want to take away the people’s political right,” said the president, adding that “five politicians are not going to sink democracy in Colombia,” after the ruling of the Full Chamber of the National Electoral Council.

When he said that this people was tired, the head of state stated that “here we are not going to violate democracy. Democracy and justice will be”. He also called for the mobilization of the popular forces in the country, as well as not to raise a single weapon against the people by the Colombian police.

“What they are going to do is a coup d’état, not with military and cannons; I have ordered the public forces not to raise a single weapon against the people. And there will be mobilization of the people, because this people got tired of having to mourn dead and dead without justice”, he stressed.

Similarly, in his address calling for justice to be done for the people of La Esperanza Street in Antioquia, in 1996 under paramilitary governance, the president said that we will build our nation with dignity.

The constitution of 1991 speaking on one side and the reality of blood sinking from pain to the people on the other side, that can’t happen anymore in Colombia, said Petro in an analysis of the historical and current Colombian reality.

In saying they want to take away the political right of people who voted for Petro, the president added that they believe they have the right to make fun of the popular vote.

Here must be a nation that builds justice, he stressed, underlining that democracy is not a family name inheritance.

“I do want justice, right. That people who have suffered persecution, death and murder can have a moment of justice”, he said while specifying that “now they want to judge me because I showed them the bank, date and plane (in the case of Pegasus). That a government moves money in planes and another agency has to put the report with the underscore of money laundering; how one government pursued young people. They are scared of the Colombian youth», Petro reflected.

When he said that the same people who are attacking the government did not like Jorge Eliecer Gaitán and the free people, the president pointed out that the bandits were stealing public money. “Killing without justice does not generate dignity,” he said.
