U.S. President Joe Biden signed the law on Saturday that was passed by the Senate early in the morning, extending federal budgets until next March and preventing a government shutdown.

With the signature of the president, the law is enacted, so that the country bypasses a government shutdown that could have left hundreds of thousands of public employees without pay and federal agencies operating under minimum services.
The federal funds were officially exhausted in the first minute of this Saturday, but the White House did not implement the closing protocol because at that time the debate of the Upper House to approve the budget extension was already underway.
President Biden has issued a statement on the government funding bill he signed early Saturday, highlighting funding for rebuilding the Francis Scott Key bridge in Baltimore.
“The bipartisan funding bill I just signed keeps the government open and delivers the urgent relief that I asked for for community recovery, as well as the funds needed to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge,” Biden wrote.
The chairman said that this agreement represents a compromise, which means that neither party got everything they wanted. But it rejects the fast track to a tax cut for billionaires that the Republicans were after, and ensures that the government can continue to function at full capacity.
The legislation provides for around $100 billion for natural disaster recovery in 2023 and 2024, such as hurricanes Helene and Milton, and a $10 billion allocation to help farmers.
