Venezuela’s President, Nicolas Maduro, has denounced imperialism for employing “deception diplomacy” aimed at politically dividing the peoples resisting its influence.
During his speech on the program “Con Maduro+,” the president warned that these tactics are designed to create instability and internal conflicts. He cited recent examples, such as the color revolutions in Georgia and Ukraine, which have positioned countries adversarial to Russia along its borders.

President Maduro referred to the conspiracy carried out to produce the “cyber-fascist coup” in Venezuela, particularly in the context of the presidential elections held last July.
“Today, I understand more about how the process of the cyber-fascist coup d’état attempted between July 27 and 30 was unfolding,” Maduro stated.
In this context, he explained that deception diplomacy has manifested through the intensive use of social networks and artificial intelligence—tools that are still poorly understood by the populace.
He detailed that this operation included a strategy of social segmentation, where technological resources were utilized to target community leaders and members of police and armed forces.
“Millions of messages were sent to our community leaders’ phones, aiming to sow chaos and mistrust,” he added.
The president also condemned that this campaign was not only directed at community leaders but also impacted thousands of officers from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and their families, with the objective of destabilizing the social and military cohesion of the country.
“There was a tremendous operation to infect society with hatred and violence against Venezuela’s opposition electorate,” he remarked.
Furthermore, Maduro emphasized the significance of the mobilizations that occurred on December 1 in defense of peace and national unity. These demonstrations were seen as a response to external threats and a call for solidarity among Venezuelans.
In light of this backdrop, Maduro reaffirms his commitment to defending national sovereignty against imperial attacks.
