President Maduro Leads Installation of the Extraordinary Plenary of the V PSUV Congress Ahead of 2025 Elections

Cabello explained that members of the National Directorate of the JPSUV and the Political Council will participate in the working groups, leading the debates and proposals for selecting candidates for the 2025 elections.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led the installation of the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the IV Congress of the PSUV Youth (JPSUV) this Tuesday. The event brought together leaders, members, and supporters of the party to discuss and establish proposals for the elections scheduled for April 27, 2025.

During his speech, Maduro emphasized the pride revolutionaries should feel for the battles fought and the challenges overcome.
“Giving the only thing we have, our skin, our body, our life, has been worth it, and it is worth continuing to be revolutionaries on the same path as Chávez,” stated the president, who also sent greetings to the leaders and activists supporting the revolution in communities across the country.

Meanwhile, Diosdado Cabello, First Vice President of the PSUV, outlined the agenda for the plenary, which will take place on February 5 and 6.

Cabello explained that members of the National Directorate of the JPSUV and the Political Council will participate in the working groups, leading the debates and proposals for selecting candidates for the 2025 elections.

The socialist leader highlighted the unity of the party’s members as key to achieving victory in the upcoming elections. Additionally, Maduro thanked the country’s governors for their commitment and work in building comprehensive social welfare for the people.

The plenary serves as a crucial space to define strategies and strengthen the PSUV’s foundations in preparation for the political challenges ahead in the next electoral cycle.
