“I am happy to open the door of this presidential palace to its owner, the sovereign people of Venezuela, the sole owner of political power in Venezuela,” he said.
The president stressed that today he can say, “with absolute certainty: We won again, because peace won, the people won!”
Maduro indicated that the opposition has had three defeats in the same day: it has defeated the influencers of Miami; the former opposition candidate Edmundo González Urrutia, whom the president called “irresponsible and cowardly”, for being hidden; and third defeat was to the Sayona deflated. “The Sayona did not last them two weeks. Guaidó predicted that it would be a year, but it did not last them two weeks”.
In his speech, the head of state said that the influencers of Miami try to silence the Venezuelan people, but they do not know that it is on every street, on every corner.
“What comes six years from now is more Popular Power, it’s more Bolivarian Revolution,” he said.
He also called on the communal councils to hold the second national consultation for the people to vote on their community’s projects next Sunday, August 25.
“In the 7T plan, I committed to promote at least four consultations a year so that the money of the State will directly finance the works that the people need. We have to change the system of government and move towards a people’s system, of direct democracy. We have to face the managers, the mafias and that money goes where the people need it”, he said.
The head of state also stressed the importance of passing the law against Fascism, Neofascism and Hate Crimes which is in consultation with the people.
“Venezuela must be a country of respect for institutions, for peace. Peace is the people’s right. The future is a right. We have earned the right to build the future we want in Venezuela. I don’t advise anyone in the world, everyone knows how to manage their country, but Venezuela belongs to the sovereign and heroic people of this country”, he said, and maintained that Venezuelans must advance in consolidating peace.
