In his speech, President Maduro pledged to promote a real and direct democracy, based on the experiences and aspirations of the Venezuelan people.
One of the central pillars of his proposal is the democratization and strengthening of political rights. Additionally, President Maduro spoke about the need to build a modern society that values innovation and breaks away from historical dependencies, as well as the importance of preserving family and technological values in the face of a challenging global context.
Regarding the economy, the president acknowledged the difficulties imposed by international sanctions but expressed optimism about the country’s recovery.
He stated that Venezuela is on the path to building a productive and self-sustaining economy that ensures equality and social rights. “Our own economic foundation is essential for the new society,” he emphasized.
President Maduro also called on Venezuelan youth, urging them to actively participate in this reform process. He stressed the importance of an inclusive debate that gathers proposals from all citizens for the constitutional reform planned for 2025.
Finally, the president noted that this process is unprecedented in the country’s history, highlighting that for the first time, a debate on the Constitution is being conducted with the active participation of the people.
He emphasized that, unlike past experiences, this reform seeks to be truly representative and consultative, marking a milestone in Venezuela’s political evolution.
