The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, expressed his recognition of the teams at Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) and the Multiplatform TeleSUR for their outstanding coverage during the Happy and Safe Carnivals of Venezuela, which he described as the most joyful and attended in the country’s history.

From the 23 de Enero parish in Caracas, where he was leading an Assembly of Communers from the People’s Power, President Maduro praised VTV as “the best television and social media channel in Latin America and the Caribbean,” highlighting the quality and reach of the coverage provided.
“It truly broke records for quality coverage so that all of Venezuela and the world connected through social media could see the joy of a peaceful people,” he stated.

President Maduro also extended his congratulations to the Vice President for Communication and Culture and president of VTV, Freddy Ñáñez, asking him to convey his gratitude to all the workers at the channel, including cameramen, technicians, journalists, and operators, for their efforts in showcasing the happiness of the Venezuelan people.

Additionally, President Maduro did not hold back on his praise for TeleSUR, emphasizing its international coverage of the carnivals in several South American and Caribbean countries.

“TeleSUR outdid itself,” he remarked, referring to the quality of the broadcast that covered events in iconic locations such as Rio de Janeiro and Oruro. “You are the best television channel for Latin America and the Caribbean on an international level,” he concluded, extending his recognition to the correspondents and to the president of the channel, Patricia Villegas.
