Nicolás Maduro, the Venezuelan president who was sworn in yesterday as a third consecutive six-year term of office at the head of the, thanked this Saturday the visit of former Honduran President Manuel Zelaya and authorities and delegates from countries such as Serbia, China and Russia, with whom he met at the Palacio de Miraflores, headquarters of the Executive, in Caracas.

In Telegram, Maduro highlighted the “important meeting” with the former president of Honduras, whom he called his “brother”, and with “members of his delegation from this sister country,” and assured that they are “taking firm steps towards bilateral development, in unity and cooperation”.
also received the President of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabic; the Head of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly (chamber) of Russia, Viacheslav Volodin; and a delegation from China sent by the Asian giant’s Xi Jinping, headed by the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Assembly (PNA, Legislative), Wang Dongming.
“Courageous leaders of the multilateral world, it was a pleasure to welcome you to our beloved country. Let us continue to move forward together for the development and peace of our nations,” Maduro said in Telegram.
He also reported on a “pleasant meeting” with the secretary general of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al Ghais, and the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries (FPEG), Mohamed Hamel.
Visitors highlighted the continued importance of Venezuela in the global oil market at the beginning of the 2025-2031 presidential period.
The arrival of these delegations from various countries at the Miraflores Palace demonstrates international support and respect for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. It is a sign of the recognition of Nicolás Maduro Moros as legitimate head of state.
