The Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro stated on Saturday that recover the entire industrial park that is in state hands, as well as increase national production to replace 100% of imports in the Caribbean country.

In this regard, Maduro stated that the Bolivarian Government is working on the Productive Expansion Plan for Venezuelan agriculture, which guarantees full supply with national production.

The Head of State in a meeting with the Minister for Industries and National Production, Alex Saab, agreed to bring industry from 45% to 60 or 70% this year 2025 of its productive capacity, to “thus recover the entire industrial park that is in the hands of the Venezuelan state, together with the working class and national and international investors. No excuses, state industry must be productive.”

“It is the new economy to continue growing every day. Work and more work to build the Homeland!” said the head of state through a message posted on his Telegram channel.

Maduro noted that one of the challenges related to the Productive Expansion Plan is the transformation of the entire agricultural and land structure in the country, saying that there is “two main objectives: a regenerative agriculture to produce organic food and to guarantee the country’s supply.”

The Venezuelan president emphasized that the other element relates to the development of export potential and national and international investment. “These are the two main objectives we have,” he expressed.

Maduro also held a meeting with the Minister of Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio León Heredia, where it was confirmed that the national government is working on the Plan for the Expansion of Production in Venezuelan agriculture, which ensures full supply from national production.
