Congress of the Historical Bloc is a debate on how to turn Venezuela into a political and economic power. Meetings involves various actors of economic and productive life in areas such as fisheries, agriculture, peasants, entrepreneurs, community workers, basic enterprises and steel companies, among others, which analyze: discuss and give proposals on the 7 Transformations proposed by President Nicolas Maduro for the development and deepening of the government model.
Madeleine García, teleSUR correspondent in Venezuela, reported that the head of the Venezuelan state will be responsible for announcing the new path of the revolutionary state, as proposed by Hugo Chávez, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.
García highlighted that over 500,000 proposals were received during more than 100,000 popular assemblies held across the country, which were discussed at the Congress of the Historical Bloc.
This Sunday, sessions of the Congress will continue, paving the way for the establishment of a new communal state aimed at combating bureaucracy and corruption.
The slogan “The Hour of the People Has Arrived” guides the debates across seven working tables at this gathering, which seeks to make the Bolivarian Revolution irreversible. Yolangra Graterol, a participant in the event, stated that “the irreversible revolution involves transforming the current state into the communal state.”
On the other hand, Ernesto Rodríguez, mayor of San José de Guanipa, said that this transformation must be done in a different way, “with a state totally different from the bureaucratic state, bourgeois, that is to say, working hand in hand with the popular power, with our people, who is who governs, who commands, who guides”.
The event recalled that the commander Hugo Chavez raised the project of “give power to the people”, which is continued by the current president Nicolas Maduro, who in this context, called all popular sectors, revolutionary social and political movement to form a historical bloc, whose purpose is to transform society.
