President Nicolás Maduro announces the new configuration of the Secretariat to the Federal Council of Government for 2025 during the first plenary session of the body.

Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez will lead the council, which will also include the Minister for Electric Energy, Jorge Elieser Márquez, and the Minister for Science, Technology, Education, and Health, Gabriela Jiménez.
Additionally, governors Primitivo Cedeño (Portuguesa), Ernesto Luna (Monagas), and José Alberto Galíndez (Cojedes) are joining, along with the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, and mayors Luid Gerardo Caldera Morales (Mara municipality) and David Morel Rodríguez (Maneiro municipality).

During his speech, President Maduro highlighted a 54% increase in resources for projects at regional and local levels, amounting to $447,275,707.
This increase will be distributed through the Interterritorial Fund of the Federal Government Council, benefiting governors with 29% more resources, mayors with 15%, and Popular Power with a 130% increase.

The president also urged citizens to participate in the first National Popular Consultation scheduled for February 2, where they will be able to vote on their communal projects.
This consultation is in the context of the Parliamentary and Regional Elections to be held on April 27, 2025.

Additionally, President Maduro awarded the Order of Francisco de Miranda to Hojjatolah Soltani, Ambassador of Iran to Venezuela, and Yacine Hadji, Ambassador of Algeria, for their outstanding diplomatic efforts during their tenures in the country.

This announcement marks a significant step in strengthening Popular Power and implementing community projects in Venezuela, promoting greater citizen participation in decision-making.
