The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, chaired a meeting with the Economic Council during which important appointments were announced to lead the Productive Engines of the Seven Transformations Plan (7T).
During this meeting, the Head of State reported that the National Council of the Economy is declared to be in permanent session under the chairmanship of the secretariat, led by Delcy Rodríguez and her team, which includes Anabel Pereira, Gabriela Jiménez, Juan Carlos Loyo, and Alex Saab Morán, as well as the Head of Planning, Ricardo José Menéndez.
President Maduro presented the leaders of various key sectors aimed at boosting the country’s economy. In the area of hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez will lead, with Héctor Obregón as secretary. For the agri-food, fisheries, and aquaculture sector, Juan Carlos Loyo will head the department while Menry Fernández Pereira will serve as secretary.
The president also announced that Coromoto Godoy Calderón will lead non-oil exports, with Daniella Cabello Contreras as secretary. For the civil and military industry, Alex Saab Morán will be in charge, accompanied by Henry Rodríguez Martínez in the secretariat.
Additionally, new leaders were appointed for other productive engines: the construction sector will be directed by G/D Raúl Paredes, with Juan José Ramírez as his secretary. Conversely, the pharmaceutical sector will be led by Gabriela Jiménez, with Magaly Gutiérrez serving as secretary.
