Among the decisions made during this plenary, President Maduro announced the foundation and activation of Community Teams of the PSUV in the 5,334 Communal Circuits starting in 2025.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro led the closing ceremony of the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the IV Congress of the PSUV Youth, which took place in Miranda state from February 4 to 6 of this year.

During his speech, President Maduro highlighted the ideological and organizational strength of the PSUV, stating that “there is no political force that has the ideological, cultural capacity, the capacity for mobilization, organization, and the construction of democratic processes as powerful as our United Socialist Party of Venezuela.”

The president called for directing the great strength of the PSUV towards new processes of growth and connection with Venezuelan reality. “Let us take the lead in these great changes and transformations,” he urged.

Among the decisions made during this plenary, President Maduro announced the foundation and activation of Community Teams of the PSUV in the 5,334 Communal Circuits starting in 2025.

Additionally, the creation of the General Secretariat of the PSUV was established, with Diosdado Cabello at the helm.

Besides, dates were set for nominations from the Base Assemblies in communities, scheduled for February 22 and 23, 2025, with the aim of selecting candidates for elections on April 27 of this year.

The plenary concluded with a call for unity and mobilization of the party’s grassroots to face current challenges in Venezuela.
