Nicolás Maduro assured that teleSUR is a “pride of Latin America” and a channel “to the test”.
During his speech at the presentation of the Simon Bolivar National Journalism Prize 2024, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the multiplatform teleSUR for his journalistic work during the latest events in Bolivia.

He also greeted the president of teleSUR, Patricia Villegas and called the multiplatform as “the channel of courage and truth”.
Nicolás Maduro assured that teleSUR is a “pride of Latin America” and a channel “to the test”.
“teleSUR did it again this Tuesday,” said the president referring to the coverage made minute by minute about recent events, during the attempted coup in Bolivia.
“teleSUR denounced the coup before it took place in Bolivia. They broadcast the coup live and live; they transmitted the historic gesture of courage of President Lucho Arche in confronting the traitor and the coup leader of Zúñiga,” he said.
In addition, “they later broadcast the victory of the people who thousands and thousands went to surround and take their presidential palace,” said President Maduro.
