President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, together with the First Combatant, Cilia Flores, and national authorities, paid a poignant posthumous tribute to Dr. Julián Isaías Rodríguez Díaz, the former prosecutor general and ex-ambassador of Venezuela to Italy. The ceremony was held at the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas.

During the activity, which included an Honor Guard at Dr. Rodríguez’s funeral chapel, the Head of State highlighted his valuable contributions to the Bolivarian Revolution since the beginning of Commander Hugo Chávez’s government.

“Dr. Isaías Rodríguez saved the working class and the trade union movements, guaranteeing the rights of the Venezuelan people in crucial decisions for the nation,” President Maduro said.

 Additionally, a replica of the victorious saber from the Battle of Carabobo was given to Dr. Rodríguez’s family, symbolizing recognition for his work and bravery in defense of the Revolution.

President Maduro expressed his gratitude to Dr. Isaías Rodríguez for his “glorious courage” and dedication to Bolivarian ideals.

The ceremony was a moment of reflection on the legacy of the former prosecutor and ambassador, who left an indelible mark on the country’s recent history.
