976,597 of the nearly 2,700,000 eligible voters participated in the elections on Sunday, representing 36% of the electoral population

The polling centers prepared for some 2,700,000 citizens to vote in the internal elections closed at 19:30 local time while pre-candidate of the Álvaro Delgado National Party, the Yamandú Orsi Broad Front and the Andrés Ojeda Colorado Party would be the candidates of their respective political forces for the Presidency.

According to the vote, the Broad Front coalition was the most voted political force with 438,000 votes, of which 60% were for Orsi and 36.2% for Carolina Cosse.

On the other hand, the National Party obtained some 335,00 votes, of which 77.6% went to Delgado.

Finally, the center-right Partido Colorado won 103,000 votes, of which 37.1% went to Ojeda and 22.9% to Robert Silva.

It should be noted that despite the fact that the polling stations have already closed, these data are only preliminary estimates and therefore votes are still counted.
