Road Accident Leaves 25 Dead in Peru

The authorities reported that the bus derailed and capsized in the Rumichaca sector, on the Los Libertadores road.
Peruvian police authorities reported on Tuesday on an interprovincial bus accident by the company Turismo Molina Unión SAC, which left 25 dead and 17 injured, of which five have already received medical discharge.

Previously, the Regional Directorate of Health (Diresa), John Tinco, indicated 23 dead and 15 injured.
The authorities also reported that the bus derailed and capsized in the Rumichaca sector, on the Los Libertadores road.
“At the scene of the events there are 23 dead bodies or 23 deceased, totaling 25 dead and we have an average of 17 patients injured,” said the Diresa.
He also specified that at least 14 wounded were transferred to the Regional Hospital and present brain trauma and fractures.
Fourteen patients have been reported from the scene, of whom two have died, one at the transfer and one arriving at the hospital. And another is in (the area of) delicate shock trauma», he affirmed.
He also said that the wounded are valued to see their evolution, and if necessary, they will move to the city of Lima (capital) with coordination with the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
Diresa said that health brigades and the Huamanga Network, as well as the National Police of Peru, Civil Defense and Fire Company deployed health actions throughout the day in the accident area.
