Iran last night launched 200 missiles at Israel after the assassination of the leader of the Shiite militia Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed last week by the Zionist army in Lebanon.
On Wednesday, China also expressed its deep concern about the volatile situation in the Middle East and expressed its opposition to the expansion of the conflict.
“China calls on the international community, especially the influential powers, to play a constructive role in order to avoid further destabilization of the situation,” the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry stated, adding that “the inability to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza is the root cause of the current round of instability” in the area.
Beijing also expressed its opposition to “violations of the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Lebanon,” a country that is being indiscriminately attacked by the Zionist army.
“All parties must achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire in Gaza as soon as possible,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry said, emphasizing its rejection of actions that threaten the stability of the region.
