The Ukrainian enemy lost half a thousand men in a day in the area of responsibility of the Central group, which is advancing toward Pokrovsk. Zavitne, about 20 kilometers from Pokrovsk, is one of several towns liberated by Russia since the intensification of its offensive in Donbas in recent weeks.

According to the Ukrainian project Deep State, the Russian army has taken control of approximately 355 square kilometers in Donetsk and neighboring Luhansk during August.

The Russian Defense Ministry has put the number of Ukrainian casualties in Russia’s Kursk region at more than 10,100 since the start of the enemy offensive on August 6. The Ukrainian army also lost 81 tanks in the fighting in Kursk.

The Russian military also reported air and artillery strikes against Ukrainian troop concentrations near 17 towns in the Kursk region.

On Thursday, President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia had not gained control of so much territory in a long time, as it has during the past few weeks, despite the beginning of the Ukrainian offensive in the Russian region of Kursk.

“The enemy has weakened in key directions, and our troops have accelerated offensive operations,” he said, referring to the intensification of the offensive in Donbas.
