The Second Vice- President and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, will make an official visit to Senegal tomorrow Wednesday and Thursday, where she will sign tomorrow Wednesday a Memorandum of Understanding with her counterpart, the Minister of Labor, Employment and Relations with the Institutions of Senegal , Yankoba Diémé, to expand technical assistance in the area of Labor Inspection.

At the end of the meeting with Minister Diemé, the Vice- President, who is traveling accompanied by the Secretary of State for Social Economy, Amparo Merino, will address the media. On Thursday, the head of Labor plans to hold a meeting with the Minister of Microfinance, Social and Solidarity Economy, Alioune Badara Dione, before her return to Spain.
Díaz’s trip occurs in the midst of the complicated open negotiations with unions and employers to reduce the working day in Spain from 40 hours a week to 37.5. There is harmony with the unions, but the negotiations are having difficulties with the Spanish Confederation of the Business Organizations (CEOE) and the Spanish Confederation of Medium and Small Business (Cepyme).
