Senegal Calls for International Isolation of Israel to End Genocide in Palestine

Senegal’s prime minister, Ousmane Sonko, called for a political solution represented by the international isolation of Israel and an end to the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

During his speech to a demonstration organized by the National Alliance to Support the Palestinian Cause in Dakar, the capital of the country, Sonko criticized the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for continuing the massacre in the Palestinian besieged zone with the aim of ensuring his political survival.
“Netanyahu is willing to walk over thousands of corpses to continue in the position of head of government,” said Sonko.
“Economic, political and diplomatic sanctions against Israel must be taken. Calls for restraint are no longer enough; we must do more to support our Palestinian brothers”, the Senegalese PM encouraged his people and the world to join the campaign.
The Senegals PM also described the Israeli occupation operations in occupied Palestine as genocide. Sonko also called for the Islamic countries solidarity to end the genocide.
Since 7 October, the Senegalese people took to the streets in a series of demonstrations against the Israeli occupation and activists called for the rupture of diplomatic relations with the Zionist entity
