The attack with a manhunt communication device, which is attributed to an Israeli cyber attack, was reported in several areas of Lebanon, including at the site where the funeral of a child who was killed in the 17 September explosion was held.

In Beirut, there were also several explosions, and in this sense the devices came from the same batch of cargo as the detonated pagers imported from the same company, according to local platforms.

Civil protection teams are extinguishing the fires caused by the explosions, while ambulance teams have taken the affected people to health centres.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese interim prime minister, Nachib Mikati, informed the population that the second wave of wireless device explosions in Lebanon has ended and no new wounded have been admitted to hospitals.

According to local media, the new act of aggression occurred while the senior official the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hezbollah, Sayyed Hashem Saffieddine, delivered a speech in which he claimed that Israeli acts of terrorism will have their own punishment.

The UK Foreign Office stated that “the civilian casualties following these explosions are of grave concern. We urge calm and relaxation at this critical time”.

According to the Press TV news outlet, the company Gold Apollo claimed that the pagers used in Tuesday’s deadly Israeli terrorist attack had been manufactured by a Hungarian firm.

“The company made these statements in a statement on Wednesday, identifying the firm as BAC Consulting KFT, based in the Hungarian capital, Budapest,” the media outlet Press said.

The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory for Human Rights, for its part, described the attack as a flagrant violation of international law.
