The attack on the village took place on Friday morning, as part of a large-scale campaign launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on several villages in the east and north of Al-Jazeera, leaving behind widespread destruction and serious human rights violations, including killing, looting, arbitrary arrests and forced displacement.

A statement issued by the Al-Jazeera Conference stated that “the number of martyrs from the massacre carried out by the RSF in the Al-Sariha area has risen to 124 martyrs, in addition to more than 200 wounded.”

The statement indicated that the RSF arrested more than 150 residents of the village and took them to detention centers in the Kab Al-Jadad area near Al-Sariha.

The civil society organization confirmed that it had received reliable reports indicating that Al-Sariha witnessed one of the most horrific massacres, human rights violations and war crimes committed by the RSF, including mass killings, forced displacement, arbitrary arrests, and the violation of women and the elderly, in addition to looting and vandalizing property.

Videos broadcast by members of the RSF showing the humiliation of the villagers, including the elderly, have drawn widespread criticism from political forces, armed movements and human rights organizations, which called on the international community to intervene to save the lives of thousands of civilians.

In a related context, the Ministry of Health announced that the RSF assassinated a medical cadre and kidnapped three nurses from Rafaa Hospital east of Al-Jazeera, during their attack on the area with heavy weapons.
