Syrian and Iranian Foreign Ministers Urge Not to Let Israel’s Crimes in Gaza Go Unpunished

During the dialogue, al-Mekdad expressed his willingness to accompany Iran and the resistance forces in order to put an end to Israel’s crimes.

Syrian Foreign and Expatriate Minister Faisal Al-Mekdad held a phone conversation on Tuesday with his interim counterpart in Iran, Ali Bagheri Kani, where they discussed recent Israeli aggression in the region.

During the dialogue, both ministers condemned the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and on occupied land.

The chancellor stressed that Israel continues its policy of escalation and persists in committing war crimes against the Palestinian people and he said “the crimes of the Israelis must not go unpunished”.

Al-Mekdad expressed “Syria supports Iran and the resistance forces in confronting the Zionist attacks and criminal practices, and praises Tehran’s efforts to stop and put an end to these atrocities”.

He also praised Iranian efforts to end the war and Israeli genocide in Gaza.

The head of Syrian diplomacy denounced the complicity of the United States and Western countries, and underlined the hypocrisy of Washington “supposedly” wanting to end the Palestinian extermination while it is Israel’s main partner.

“Syria supports Iran and the resistance forces in confronting the Zionist attacks and criminal practices, and commends Tehran’s efforts to stop and end these atrocities,” he added.

On the other hand, Bagheri reiterated that the White House and the West are behind the recent Israeli attacks against Yemen, Lebanon, Tehran and Syria.

He also thanked Syria for its strong support to his country and emphasized that Tel Aviv intends to expand the circle of war in the region.

The two ministers agreed to make every effort to end the Zionist attacks, thwart Israel’s and the West’s plans, and achieve security and stability in the region and the world.
