The Syrian Arab Armed Forces maintain full control of the city of Hama, according to a recent statement from the Ministry of Defence.
This announcement comes amid growing concerns about the offensive by the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which has launched significant attacks against government troops in other regions, such as Aleppo and Idlib, marking a critical point in the Syrian conflict.

The armed forces are positioned along the perimeter of Hama with fortified defenses and are conducting operations to regain control of settlements previously occupied by terrorists.
The situation in Hama is complicated by the recent HTS offensive, which has taken control of much of Aleppo, including the international airport and Kuweires air base—an event that has not occurred since 2016.
This offensive has been described as the most significant in years against the regime of Bashar al-Assad, resulting in an increase in Russian bombings on rebel positions.

The current escalation occurs in a context where efforts to resolve the conflict are being pursued on two fronts: negotiations under UN guidance in Geneva and mediating dialogues between Iran, Russia, and Turkey in Astana.
