Thanks to its commitment to counter-hegemonic communication, it has earned worldwide respect and recognition for its truthful content and coverage, even in the most adverse circumstances.
Despite repeated attacks by transnational conservative forces, teleSUR grows stronger and more resilient each day, successfully integrating and adapting to digital communication through social media.
After 19 years of producing content in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, teleSUR aims to emphasize internet content production, expand on all social media platforms, and increase online distribution.
To achieve these goals, teleSUR has installed state-of-the-art production centers in Caracas, Quito, Mexico, and Havana.
Since its foundation in 2005, the multi-state platform has aimed to contribute to the efforts for Latin American integration, being the voice of social struggles that are often ignored by mainstream media.
TeleSUR emerged from a joint idea of presidents Hugo Chavez (Venezuela) and Fidel Castro (Cuba). Currently, teleSUR has a potential audience of 376 million in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, thanks to its positioning on the main satellites in the world..
