This event is being held in Buenos Aires and features the participation of around 30 far-right leaders from countries such as the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Spain, and Hungary. Among them is Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of Donald Trump and vice chair of the Republican National Committee.

During the event, Milei and his friends performed the “Trump dance,” a signature style of moving to music often displayed by former U.S. President Donald Trump at his rallies.

At the event held in a hotel in Puerto Madero, an exclusive area of Buenos Aires, they also listened to a rendition of the song “Trump Won and Everyone Knows It,” adapted to highlight the victory of Milei.

The text reads, “At the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) dinner in Argentina, President Javier Milei presented an award to television presenter Lara Trump.”

Lara Trump will be the first to take the stage, followed by video messages from former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and Trump’s former advisor Steve Bannon. Bolsonaro, who will be represented at the event by his son, Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro, has been accused in Brazil of orchestrating a plot to overthrow President Lula da Silva. Bannon has served four months in prison for contempt of court.

This is the first time CPAC is being held in Argentina, reflecting the alignment between the Argentine president and the far-right faction of the U.S. Republican Party, particularly Donald Trump.

“The message of liberty and anti-socialism from Milei is very important,” said Mercedes Schlapp, former White House Director of Strategic Communications during Trump’s first administration and a senior CPAC organizer. She added that Milei is seen as a potential link between Trump and the region.

Other speakers include Bolivian politician Branko Marinković, former head of the Pro Santa Cruz Civic Committee; Uruguayan Congressman Pablo Viana of the National Party; Lima’s Mayor Rafael Lopez; Eduardo Verastegui, Mexican producer of Sound of Freedom; Chilean Congressman Fernando Sanchez; and Santiago Abascal, leader of Spain’s Vox party.
