Venezuela’s Foreign Minister, Yvan Gil, made statements on the meeting held by President Nicolás Maduro Moros with the Lebanese ambassador to Venezuela, His Excellency Elías D. Lebbos to analyze the tense context that lives in the Middle Eastern nation after the consecutive aggression of Israel.

Gil stressed that the Israeli regime has moved extermination and genocide in the Gaza Strip to Lebanon, saying that it “must be stopped at some point”.
Meanwhile, the Venezuelan chancellor said that President Maduro made it clear that the South American country will support from the humanitarian, economic and geopolitical perspective to Lebanon, which is suffering the consequences of the attacks perpetrated by Israel for 11 days.

“We will organize a humanitarian support brigade,” said Gil, adding that the end of these attacks will be possible to solidify denunciation actions, accompanied by diplomatic channels and “a great global movement against aggression”.
The high-ranking Bolivarian diplomat assured that this assault was not seen since the genocide of Adolf Hitler in Europe, which left countless victims because of Nazism.
He also stressed that Israel’s actions have “the support and complacency of the United States” which provides him with military and intelligence material.
Gil added that Lebanon will have everything Lebanon needs, demonstrating the brotherhood between Caracas and Beirut.
On the other hand, the chancellor specified that Caracas has been concerned for its compatriots in Lebanese soil, adding that “sooner rather than later that (the conflict) will be stopped”.
The senior official adds that the war is supported by nations like the US. ; however, Venezuela leads the front line of world condemnation of this genocide, while “encouraging all nations” to condemn the situation in the Middle East.
It is worth remembering that, since 8 October 2023, Israel and Lebanon have been engaged in a war of declaration, following the start of the genocide against the Gaza Strip. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, since then the Israeli aggression has left 1,974 dead, including 127 children and 261 women, and 9,384 wounded.
