Officials from the delegations of Australia, Japan, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Belgium were already at the facilities located between Saint-Denis, Saint-Ouen, and Île Saint-Denis, finalizing details in the days leading up to the opening.

Countries like the United States, New Zealand, Brazil, and Switzerland are expected to arrive for the start of the competition, as according to the Village director, Laurent Michaud, there is still work to be done to finalize and clean the spaces.

Covering 52 hectares, the Village will accommodate up to 14,500 people at its peak, including 9,000 athletes, 4,000 workers, and 1,500 volunteers who will assist the delegations daily.

As the host country, France chose its building, located near the restaurant installed in the City of Cinema and the Village’s polyclinic.

The 624 athletes of the French delegation will have a private training room of 170 square meters—the Village has another collective one for the rest—and a common room with a 5×3 meter television screen, board games, and a foosball table.

The inauguration of the Village marks the beginning of the final preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which will be held from July 26 to August 11.
