Pope Francis will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow, after 37 days at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome for a respiratory infection, and will return to his residence at the Casa Santa Marta in the Vatican, announced this Saturday by Doctor Sergio Alfieri, Head of the team treating you at the medical centre.

The pontiff “will be discharged tomorrow, (is) in stable state for fifteen days. The rest period at Casa Santa Marta will continue and will remain in convalescence for a period of at least two months”, said Alfieri.
Francisco, 88 years old, was admitted to the Gemelli hospital in Rome on 14 February for his breathing problems, which were due to a polymicrobiological infection bronchitis with bilateral pneumonia.
According to the Holy See Press Office, the Pope plans to greet the crowd outside the Gemelli hospital in Rome and give their blessing on Sunday, March 23, shortly after 12 pm.
Despite his long stay in the hospital during the last five weeks, the Pope has continued to work, sending messages to groups of pilgrims, concelebrating Mass and even sending a voice message on March 6 to thank everyone for their testimonies of love and solidarity.
