‘The enemy of the Iranian people is the same enemy of the peoples of Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and Yemen,’ he said.
On Friday, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei described Iran’s launching of ballistic missiles against Israeli military bases as “the minimum punishment” against the Israeli regime.

“The brilliant action of our Armed Forces was completely legal and legitimate. It was in response to the crimes of the bloodthirsty, wolfish and rabid dog regime of the United States in the region,” he said, referring to US support for Tel Aviv.
Khamenei said the attack was motivated by Israel’s assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniya and Hezbollah chief Seyed Hassan Nasrallah. He also warned that Iran would not hesitate to launch new attacks if it deems the situation warranted it.
“We will attack Israel again in the future if necessary,” he told thousands of people present at the collective prayer held to pay tribute to the leader of the Lebanese Resistance movement, who was killed in an Israeli bombing in Beirut on September 27.
Khamenei also praised the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance, reiterated that the Palestinians have the right to defend themselves, and stressed that the fight against Israel is just and legitimate. “The Palestinian people must determine the fate of their own country,” he said, stressing that those who help Palestine and Lebanon should not be criticized as it is an “Islamic duty” to do so.
The Iranian religious leader also denounced the intervention of foreign powers in West Asia, calling Israel and its allies the main responsible for regional conflicts and insecurity. Western support for Israel is aimed at ensuring control of the region’s energy resources, he said, adding that “this Zionist-American dream will never materialize.”
Khamenei mentioned that Israel is increasingly dependent on U.S. support to survive, but its decline is inevitable. “Do not hesitate on the path of struggle; increase your efforts and capabilities; double your solidarity; resist the invading and aggressor enemy, strengthening your faith and trust in God, and thwart their plans,” Khamenei said in a message addressed to the Lebanese people.
Finally, the Iranian leader stressed that unity among Muslim nations is key to defeating their common enemies, calling for solidarity in defending the interests of the region. “The enemy of the Iranian people is the same enemy of the peoples of Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and Yemen,” he pointed out.
