“The Root of the Problems in the Region is the Presence of Countries Like the United States”: Ayatollah Khamenei

The leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that the cause of the region’s problems is the presence of the United States.

“The root of the problems in the region is the presence of countries like the United States and some European countries, which falsely speak of peace and tranquility,” he said.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that there would be “no conflict, war or confrontation”. He also insisted that “the states of the region will be able to govern themselves, govern their region and live together in peace, security and well-being”.
He recalled the context of the invasion of Iraq also by the United States: “supported and encouraged” by that power.
In relation to the Israeli aggression, with US complicity in a nefarious war in the Middle East, the leader pointed out that “we are mourning these days; in particular, I am personally deeply grieved. The event that occurred is not a minor incident; the loss of Seyed Hasan Nasralá is no small thing and has sincerely left us in mourning”.
Meanwhile, local platforms witness daily the violence promoted by the United States and its western allies, as well as support for Israel not only with military material in its massacre against Gaza.
The Lebanese press reported that “the IRGC’s Tuesday night operation was carried out in response to barbaric acts of murder against resistance leaders, including the head of Hamas’ political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and the military commanders of the IRGC and the Lebanese resistance movement”.
In this sense, during the military campaign, called Operation True Promise 2, there was the launch of more than 180 long-range missiles which, as announced by the elite force in a statement, successfully reached “90 percent” of the designated targets, including “Israeli strategic centres” in the occupied territories.
