“The time of loyalty and combat has come”: President Maduro

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said on Tuesday that in his country there are times of loyalty with the original projects of Simón Bolívar and Ezequiel Zamora, when intervening in the act of commemoration of the 165 Years of the Battle of Santa Inés.

«The time of loyalty and combat has come. The time of betrayal is over. Let’s go in loyalty with the original projects of Bolivar and Zamora. ¡ We swore it and we have fulfilled it!» said the head of state.

In this sense, he urged the Venezuelan people never to trust the enemies of the country, and insisted on the need to draw lessons from history, referring to the betrayals suffered by the champions Bolívar and Zamora in the past.

«Never trust us. Never believe the words of the enemies of Venezuela, never abandon the advice of the people, never allow them to harm us, and always prepare the people for any scenario. We have to learn from the lessons of deep history», he stressed.

The president recalled that 12 years ago, when he took over the presidency of the country after the death of Commander Hugo Chávez, he swore absolute loyalty to the people in exchange for his own life.

«Times of loyalty come with the original projects of Bolívar and Zamora», he said, and later swore to those present as the United People’s Liberation Army of the 21st century: the Army of Ezequiel Zamora.

In that sense, he led the swearing-in for Zamora, for the victory of Santa Inés, to unite all our peasant forces, workers, people, military, militiamen, police. I swear to unite in one fist of strength, all the history force of Zamora and Bolivar, of our Commander Chavez, to carry out the great transformations and changes that Venezuela needs and to be prepared and defeat any intrigue, any plot, any conspiracy of imperialism, oligarchy and fascism».

Also, the present, led by the president, swore that the times of betrayal will not return, that the oligarchy will not return and that victory will belong to them forever.

Victory is ours and on January 10, 2025 we will take to the streets by millions to swear by Venezuela, by independence, by the Bolivarian homeland and on January 10, and the years to come, will be years of peace, prosperity, sovereignty and full independence, of unity and peace», he stressed.
