A CNN poll conducted by SSRS highlights that his approval rating is 41% during his first 100 days in office—which will be completed on April 30—making it the lowest since the era of President Dwight Eisenhower.
Trump’s approval of his presidential performance, who took office with the highest polling numbers of his political career, has dropped by 4 points since March and is 7 points lower than at the end of February.
Only 22% say they strongly approve of Trump’s performance, while 45% of the population strongly disapproves. Since March, Trump’s approval rating has fallen by 7 percentage points among women and Hispanic Americans, down to 36% among women and 28% among Hispanics.
A Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll noted that Trump “faces growing opposition to his ambitious and controversial agenda” and that his approval rating is in decline.
His approval rating is lower than just two months ago, as the poll shows that 39% of American adults approve of Trump’s performance, compared to 55% who disapprove, including 44% who strongly disapprove. In February, however, the approval rating was 45%.
The deterioration has been even more significant among registered voters, a group in which Trump’s positive rating went from 48% in February to 42% in April.
The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research reported this weekend that 4 out of 10 U.S. citizens say President Trump has been a poor leader during his second term.
