At least nine civilians, including seven women and two children, were injured following a U.S. airstrike on an unfinished event hall in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, local news outlet Al Masirah reported.

According to earlier statements from a source to Sputnik, U.S. warplanes launched new attacks across multiple Yemeni provinces, including areas in Sana’a, where key figures of the political-military movement Ansar Allah (commonly known as the Houthis) are based.

“Seven women and two children were wounded in the U.S. bombing of Sana’a,” Al Masirah’s correspondent confirmed.

The attack also caused damage to several nearby structures, further exacerbating the toll on civilians in a country already enduring years of devastating war and humanitarian crisis.

The escalation follows a series of military actions by Washington in Yemen, where U.S. strikes have targeted Ansar Allah forces amid ongoing tensions in the region.
