Ukrainian Drones Attack Kaluga in Russia

Russian forces shot down drones in Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod.
In the early hours of Monday, Ukrainian kamikaze drones attacked a fuel depot in Russia’s Kaluga region, located about 120 kilometers from the nearest point of the border between the two countries.

The Ukrainian General Staff also confirmed attacks on a series of “important targets” in the Russian border areas of Bryansk and Kursk.
Earlier, the Ukrinform news agency reported that explosions occurred shortly after midnight at energy infrastructure facilities in Kaluga.
“The Russian Defense Ministry has described Ukraine’s actions as an attempt to carry out a terrorist attack against objects on the territory of Russia,” Pravda reported.
Previously, Russian authorities had reported the downing of eight Ukrainian drones in the Kaluga region. “On the premises of an industrial enterprise, a fire broke out at the site where drone fragments fell,” wrote Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha.
Russian forces claimed to have shot down seven drones in Kursk, five in Bryansk, and three in Belgorod, all of which are regions bordering Ukraine.
Ukraine frequently targets Russia’s energy infrastructure, while Russia periodically launches massive attacks on Ukraine’s electricity sector, successfully destroying a significant portion of Ukraine’s power generation capacity.
