Ultra-Right President Javier Milei’s Popularity Drops Shumingly

A recent study of the pollster Trespuntozero showed that the popularity of the far-right winger Argentinian President Javiel Milei dropped with a 54.2% negative image and 44.2% positive, as other showed that 70% of Argentines believe that the president is lying.

Trespuntozero, directed by Shila Vilker, is among the few who hit the first round of the presidential general election last year.

Vilker argued that “There is a dissatisfaction with the move from abstract ideas to everyday impact” and that in recent weeks the veto on pension reform for retirees have caused an increase in social discontent.

The consultant took quotes from the president of different times and asked people if Milei was lying or not.

“It’s been four months since wages have beaten inflation,” said Milei, but for 68 percent of the people, that is a lie. “We are crushing the insecurity” (for 62%, lie); “Pensions are beating inflation” (lie for 71%); “Employment is improving (lie for 68%). The presidential phrase considered most lying was “Electricity, gas and water rates are free” (76%), said Córdoba Zuban in an interview with Radio Libertad.
