Heavy rains and winter weather, which have forced the relocation of 24 polling stations in 10 provinces, and the ban on mobile phones during voting, the two main factors of a day in which there were no major disturbances or problems.
“The participation rate is 41% at national level. This reflects an active response from the electorate,” said Diana Atamaint, president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), during the midday report.
“Four hours before the close of voting day for the Second Round of the 2025 General Elections, with a cut-off at 1:00 p.m., the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Diana Atamaint, reported through national channel that 41% of voters have already exercised their right to vote at the national level, ratifying the citizen’s commitment to democracy,” says the CNE.
