In a significant step towards consolidating cooperation between Venezuela and Cuba, letters of intent were signed by various companies from both countries during an official event held in Caracas. The ceremony was attended by the Cuban Minister of Internal Trade, Betzy Díaz, and the Deputy Minister of Enterprises and Services of the Ministry of Popular Power for Food of Venezuela, Félix Enrique Romero Azuaje.
During the event, Deputy Minister Romero Azuaje highlighted the historic importance of this alliance, which will allow Cuba to develop oil palm plantations and promote the production and marketing of oils and fats through the Venezuelan company Industrias Diana.
