In the Venezuelan capital, businesspeople and officials from both countries will discuss cooperation projects in areas related to technology, education, tourism, and sports.

This meeting represents a key opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various areas within a context of growing strategic collaboration between the two nations, explained Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister Yvan Gil, who welcomed Chernyshenko.

The Bolivarian diplomat also stated that the CIAN is a mechanism to facilitate the sovereign development of Venezuela and Russia, especially in the face of arbitrary sanctions.

On Wednesday, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez also took part in the binational business council, highlighting the economic achievements of both countries despite international blockades.

The text reads, “Delcy Rodriguez formally received the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Chernyshenko, within the framework of the Venezuela-Russia Business Council, which was inaugurated in Caracas on Wednesday.”

She emphasized that the strategic partnership with Russia has allowed both countries to build an independent and self-sufficient path, confronting economic challenges through growth and cooperation.

“Neither blackmail nor unilateral coercive measures will deter the path that Russia and Venezuela have consolidated to develop together with sovereignty and self-determination,” Rodriguez stressed, noting that both countries are commitment to economic and political independence.

Previously, the Russian ambassador to Venezuela, Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov, emphasized the anti-fascist alliance between the two nations and referenced Russia’s support for Venezuela in its attempt to join the BRICS, clarifying that this year’s denial of membership was not a veto but a temporary lack of consensus.

“Administrative and bureaucratic matters become unimportant when there is unity and friendship between our countries,” the Russian diplomat stated, reinforcing the vision of a bloc that defends the sovereignty of Global South countries against external pressures.
