Acting President Delcy Rodriguez opened Carnivals for Peace 2026 in La Guaira, celebrating Venezuelan identity, unity, and cultural traditions.


Venezuela’s Acting President, Delcy Rodriguez, inaugurated the “Carnivals for Peace 2026” in La Guaira, highlighting them as a vibrant expression of national identity and a symbol of Venezuelan resilience and unity for visitors and children.

Rodriguez emphasized the carnivals represent “a step further this year to show the world our great spirituality, to show the world that nothing defeats us, that nothing overcomes us, that our history drives us, but the love among Venezuelans unites us to safeguard peace.”

The Acting President toured the Boulevard, greeting entrepreneurs, youth, and children who will enjoy healthy recreation.

The festivities will take place from February 14 to 18, offering sports, artistic, and recreational activities across the region.

Rodriguez highlighted the harmonious convergence of native communities, European heritage, and the strength of Afro-descendant within this celebration, a unique manifestation of Venezuelan identity, affirming the importance of defending cultural traditions.

She also noted that tourism not only boosts the nation’s economy but also allows Venezuela to showcase its rich culture and diverse destinations to the world.

The Venezuelan Acting President celebrated that La Guaira has ranked first in receiving holidaymakers for seven consecutive years. Additionally, 8,000 recreationists will deploy nationwide to ensure healthy entertainment for children through community and communal plans during the festivities.

This initiative aims to strengthen peace, promote healthy recreation, and boost popular participation, with communities playing a leading role in every activity.

The “La Guaira Tourist Carnivals 2026” aim to consolidate the state as Venezuela’s primary recreational destination this carnival season.

The Bolivarian Government deployed recreationists across 5,336 communal circuits nationwide, in a celebration that promises to be safe and vibrant, featuring a comprehensive program of cultural, sports, and traditional coastal activities.
