The brutal siege against the Palestinian people occurs with the complicity and cover-up of the U.S. and its international allies.

The Venezuelan Government condemned on Wednesday the new phase of criminal attacks perpetrated by the Zionist State of Israel against the Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip.

In a communiqué, Venezuela denounced the ruthless aggression against the Palestinian people that restarts the war in Gaza after the cease-fire that has been in effect for more than two months.

It added that the brutal siege against the Palestinian people is taking place with the complicity and cover-up of the U.S. and its international allies. This situation makes evident, once again, “the prolongation of the war crimes perpetrated in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023,” the statement said.

The Venezuelan government warned that “the murderous power of Israel shows frantic signs of exterminating the Palestinian people and unleashing a dangerous escalation of violence in the Middle East, with unimaginable global consequences”.

The new wave of violence by the Israeli army has caused the death of hundreds of people and thousands of wounded, which continues to deteriorate the already existing humanitarian situation.

The Venezuelan government expressed its energetic rejection against the “constant destruction of homes, mosques, schools and shelters for displaced people, especially in Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah and Rafah”.

It called for the urgent need to unite efforts in the search for peace. “The world with one voice must demand an end to this new phase of terrorist violence, a definitive ceasefire, as well as the commitment of the actors on the ground to a cessation of hostilities, the protection of human rights and fundamental guarantees for the protection of life,” the statement said. 

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people and reiterates its absolute repudiation of the violent actions that daily murder thousands of innocent people in this region, it concluded.
