In a powerful statement, Delcy Rodríguez, Vice President of Venezuela, has raised her voice against the “narco-paramilitarism of Uribista” that has led Colombia to unprecedented violence and disrupted its political system.

Rodríguez argues that these dynamics threaten the peace and tranquility of Venezuela, urging the population to remain alert to the intentions of figures like Álvaro Uribe and his local allies.

In her statement, Rodríguez emphasizes that the Venezuelan people have clearly and forcefully expressed their rejection of any attempt to violate the territorial sovereignty of the country.

She says that national unity is fundamental to confront what she describes as an extremist fascism, led by “a madwoman and a stateless puppet,” referring to political figures who, in her opinion, seek to undermine Venezuelan democracy.

The Vice President reiterates Venezuela’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and the popular will, stating that the country will not allow “criminals” to occupy political spaces that must be dedicated to development and peace.

Quoting the late Commander Hugo Chávez, Rodríguez reaffirms her position with a clear message: “Venezuela will remain in peace.”

This statement is made in a context of regional tensions and reflects the position of the Venezuelan government in the face of political and social challenges facing both on its territory and internationally.
