Venezuela Is Breaking up a US. Organized Terrorist Plot, Minister Cabello Says in Interview for Telesur

Venezuela’s Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, said on Saturday that the U.S. organized the terrorist plot that is being dismantled by the Venezuelan authorities and that the intelligence agencies of Spain were responsible for recruiting mercenaries to execute it.

During an interview with the teleSUR and Venezuelan public media, Cabello gave more details about the intelligence operation that allowed this new attempt to destabilize Venezuela and attack high government officials to be thwarted.
The official said Wilber Joseph Castañeda was detained by the Venezuelan authorities. Castañeda was a US military in service, he was in the country during the electoral process on July 28 and headed all the coup plot.
Cabello explained to the teleSUR’s journalists that Castañeda entered Venezuela twice: in March and July, and since arriving in the country began making contacts with politicians and organized crime. He is a top-level military operator and is making statements about his actions, Cabello said. On his phone, there were chats showing interest and coordination in actions on July 28, 29 and 30.
Venezuelan official told that another North American detained is an expert on hacking, which could be linked to to a more comprehensive plan, including attacks on basic services to generate anxiety and unrest in the village.
In addition two Spanish citizens, José María Basoa and Andrés Martínez, members of intelligence agencies. and a Czech citizen was detained, according to Minister Cabello.
The Spanish citizens have connection with Castañeda, with political sectors and criminal groups that would execute the operations they were preparing and Spain was going to supply the foreign mercenaries for this operation, but it is being led by the US., explained Cabello.
On the Czech citizen, he explained that he worked as a mercenary in Europe and was part of a group which also included French mercenaries. In a notebook he kept, his connections with Venezuelan politicians are detailed, his connection to what happened after the election of 28J and even notes on how to torture, survive in the jungle.
He explained that the coordination of these actions was gradually moving to Ecuador. He reflected that it is no longer easy to do so in Colombia, as was the case with conspiracies organized there during the administration of former president Iván Duque, who was declared an enemy of the Bolivarian Revolution.
Minister Cabello also informed that Intelligence sources detected and seized 400 rifles. Some of them were captured before the presidential elections of 28 June and the bulk was seized later and members of criminal groups, who are in prison, intended to escape and use these high-power weapons. He assured that the seized weapons are for the exclusive use of the US Army.
Cabello highlighted that the US government does nothing to prevent these actions from being prepared on its territory, where an open campaign to destroy Venezuela has been launched. We would like Washington to speak out and avoid using its territory to conspire against another country, he urged.
