As part of these initiatives, the Bolivarian Government inaugurated the Environmental Sciences Building of Venezuela, located at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Research (IVIC) in Miranda state.
This modern facility will house three important research centers: the Scientific Center, dedicated to the research and development of environmental technologies; the Biogeochemistry Center, focused on the study of natural cycles and their relationship with climate change; and the Oceanology and Antarctic Studies Center, aimed at exploring and conserving the oceans and Antarctica.
These facilities represent a significant advancement in Venezuela’s capacity to address environmental challenges from a scientific and technological perspective.
Additionally, the Bolivarian Government inaugurated the extension of the Fruto Vivas Popular University in the Antonio José de Sucre municipality of Barinas state. This new educational space aims to promote training in areas related to the environment and sustainability, contributing to the education of professionals committed to protecting the planet.
At the same time, the Didactic Center for Science Education was launched at the Santos Michelena Cultural Complex, located in the Girardot municipality of Aragua state. This center seeks to foster learning and scientific outreach among children, youth, and communities, thereby strengthening environmental awareness in the country.
