Venezuela Prepares an Economic Re-Boost for the Country

The executive vice president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, convened a ministerial meeting with a view to deepening the country’s productive development.

To encourage production in Venezuela and ensure that people have the assurance of resources necessary to sustain life, the Executive Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held a working meeting with the ministers who are part of the economic area to push for new measures.

In a context where Venezuela managed for the first time to produce 96 percent of the food it consumes and evaluating new proposals for strengthening national production, the vice president pointed out that the nation tries to consolidate its own diversified economic model.

Meanwhile, Chancellor Yvan Gil who attended the meeting stressed that  “In accordance with the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, we held a working meeting with the ministers of the country’s economic cabinet, in order to continue working on strengthening the productive apparatus of Venezuela”.

“Despite the criminal blockade, in national union, we continue to join efforts to consolidate the new post-revolutionary economic model and advance in the construction of Venezuela’s power. ¡ We will win!” said the foreign minister.

In an interview, the deputy said that despite losses of nearly $642 billion and social wounds caused by the blockade, the nation is making progress in economic recovery and strengthening productive activities.

Delcy recalled that there are about 30 countries victims of the illegal sanctions, and in this context despite significant losses during these 10 years that has been Venezuela with economic blockade, President Nicolás Maduro, It has counteracted this by boosting the economy and enhancing the various social programs for the protection of Venezuelans.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Energy and Oil has held several meetings to secure economic resources in the country. In this regard, in the first week of September held a meeting with members of the board of Petróleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA) to review the crude oil production plans that the nation’s main industry has.
