The Venezuelan FM Yvan Gil said those statements “are sinking again to that block in the putrefied mud, where they were for a long time when they followed the bizarre experiment of Juan Guaidó failed, and are a sample of the hatred and complex of this official”.

Gil said the continued failure of the European Union to respect the sovereignty and independence of Venezuela and its Public Authorities, may result in a new leap into the void that will considerably affect diplomatic relations.

The Venezuelan Chancellor reminded Borrell that “the Bolivarian government will not tolerate any senseless act that violates the principles enshrined in the Constitution and international law, and will appeal to the Bolivarian, anti-colonial and anti-imperialist doctrine”.

Gil calified the Borrell’s statement as “dirty” adding that is not only an affront to Venezuelan national dignity, as well as a crude pamphlet that dares to claim as valid the scam of fascism that spread forged documents and spurious

“The European Union’s communiqué becomes a vulgar bungling that will be recorded in the annals of global diplomatic shame,” reads the statement.

In the statement it is stressed that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela once again demands respect for its integrity and calls on the European Union to refrain from issuing any opinion on matters which are the exclusive responsibility of the Venezuelans.
