Venezuela’s Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez presented a positive report on April 21, detailing a 16.33% increase in domestic tourism compared to 2024. The data reflects economic revitalization and incident-free security operations.
Over 12.35 million people visited beaches, national parks, and religious sites, with destinations like Canaima, Los Roques, and Morrocoy reaching 100% hotel occupancy. The Bicentennial Monument to the Battle of Carabobo also ranked among the most visited landmarks.
Were recorded 259 million electronic transactions, a 20% increase from 2024, according to Rodríguez. National hotel occupancy averaged 80%, solidifying tourism as a key economic driver.More than 185,000 officers , including police, firefighters, and military personnel , ensured public safety. Diosdado Cabello, Minister of Interior, stressed that “Venezuela remains at peace” due to coordinated efforts.
Rodríguez emphasized that Venezuelans celebrated with “joy and spirituality,” reinforcing cultural identity during the holy week. Beaches in Falcón, Anzoátegui, and La Guaira saw the highest visitor numbers. This is a clear indication of the stability of the Venezuelan government, given that the intrinsic link between tourism success and the social inclusion policies and public safety measures promoted by Nicolás Maduro’s administration seems to be the primary cause of the rise in visitors to the Bolivarian nation.
