The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela has made a significant humanitarian effort by sending two aid-filled bags to the Colombian displaced in the municipality of Semprúm, Zulia state.
This action is part of a comprehensive effort to assist people affected by the armed conflict in the Catatumbo region of Norte de Santander, Colombia.
The humanitarian cargo includes 500 hygiene kits, 400 mats, 50 mattresses, 50 bunk beds, drinking water, 20 fans, sheets, and pillows, as well as 1,000 toys for boys and girls.
These supplies are intended to provide protection and assistance to men, women, and children who have suffered the consequences of violence in their communities of origin.
The delivery of aid was supervised by the Deputy Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, Admiral Juan Carlos Oti Paituvi, along with members of the “Simón Bolívar” Humanitarian Task Force. This unit is dedicated to providing humanitarian support under the Doctrine of Peace Diplomacy of the Bolivarian Government.
This humanitarian effort responds to the guidelines set by President Nicolás Maduro and the sectoral vice president of Politics, Citizen Security, and Peace, Captain Diosdado Cabello.
The initiative reflects the commitment of the Venezuelan government to provide assistance to those who have been forced to leave their homes due to violence, thus reaffirming its position of solidarity towards the fraternal peoples of the region.
